Coronavirus Update: MORE INFORMATION
There are many infections that require IV therapy. There are also many reasons to keep your hospital stay as short as possible. We can work together with various home health agencies to manage outpatient parenteral antibiotic therapy (OPAT), so you don't have to stay in the hospital to get IV therapy. You can also visit the Physicians East Infusion Center to receive IV medications and for routine PICC line management (dressing changes, flushes, medication administration,etc.).
Keeping your PICC line clean and free of infection is essential to maintaining its function. After all, your PICC line is intended to help you treat an illness, not make you more susceptible to another one. At our state-of-the art facility, we have all of the tools and expertise at our disposal to properly maintain your PICC line:
In addition to IV antibiotic therapy and PICC line management, the Infectious Disease Department at Physicians East provides a comprehensive range of treatment options for everything from mild to severe infections. Additionally, we serve as consultants in diagnosing and testing complex infections and developing a comprehensive care plan with your primary physician.
