Family Medicine – Winterville/Arlington Blvd

Dr. Hart joined the Physicians East family medicine team on September 1, 2023.  She is located at the Winterville and Arlington Blvd. office locations.

Dr. Hart received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Brody School of Medicine in 2008 with awards in family medicine.   She was recognized as an NC Board of Governors Scholar.   Her undergraduate studies were completed in 2004 at the University of North Carolina.   She received a Bachelor of Science in Management with a concentration in Health Care.  She also earned summa cum laude distinction.

Prior educational accomplishments include an Associate of Science – General received in 2001 from Buncombe Technical Community College and an Associate of Applied Science degree in nursing from Buncombe Technical Community College in 1999.

Academic honors received were the NC Board of Governors Scholar at the Brody School of Medicine and the NC Academy of Family Physicians Foundation Scholarship.

Dr. Hart has affiliation and membership with the American Academy of Family Physicians, NC Academy of Family Physicians, NC Academy of Family Physicians Foundation Board, and Pitt County Medical Society.

Dr. Hart performs volunteer service as a youth leader, Sunday School teacher, and other church ministry with Elm Grove Free Will Baptist Church.  She serves as a medical director at Murray Community Medical Clinic in Summerville, South Carolina.

Dr. Hart is married to her husband, Edward, who is from eastern North Carolina and served in the US Navy.   She has two children, one twelve-year-old son, and one fourteen-year-old daughter.  She enjoys playing games with friends, reading, baking, and swimming.
