Dr. Picton completed her medical degree in Caracas, Venezuela and her residency and fellowship at East Carolina University. She was awarded the Best Resident for the Hematology/Oncology rotation in 2004, along with being Chief Resident of Internal Medicine, and Chief Fellow in Hematology/Oncology. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and  Oncology board eligible in Hematology/Oncology. Dr. Picton joined the practice in 2011.
