Physicians East locations intend to operate as usual in the days ahead. We know our community needs quality healthcare services and our goal is to continue meeting these needs. We want you to feel safe and confident in the care you receive at our practices.
We are fortunate to have Dr. Ryan Gallaher, Infectious Disease specialist, on staff. Dr. Gallaher is working closely with our administration and providers to ensure we have the most up to date information about the virus and safety recommendations from the CDC, Pitt County and NC Health Departments.
Patient and visitor guidelines have been established and can be found below. Our locations have increased cleaning and disinfecting protocols, assembled a dedicated clinical team to answer the questions of those with suspected exposure, and made modifications in our waiting rooms and clinical areas to promote social distancing. In addition, we have created a dedicated HOTLINE for Physicians East patients needing assistance with symptoms or exposure questions.
Patient and Visitor Guidelines for all Physicians East locations Including Urgent Care:
- Call Physicians East before you come if you have flu-like symptoms
- Call Physicians East before you come if you have reason to believe you may have been exposed to the Coronavirus
- Limit guests when coming to an appointment
- Practice visitors/vendors should call ahead
We understand this may be a frightening time for some. Rest assure Physicians East is taking necessary precautions to ensure you can continue to have confidence in your healthcare team.
