About

Megan began her role on the GI Team with Physicians East on June 5, 2023. Her enthusiasm and motivation are infectious as she fulfills her role of FNP-C, GI at our Greenville location.

She is passionate about family, being outdoors, and nursing.  She set high standards in life as a wife and mother, and for her achievements in medicine.    She has experienced a full career, beginning as a registered nurse at Craven Regional Medical Center, where she cared for a 36-bed OBYN Surgical Unit. Her next move was serving as a procedure nurse in an outpatient endoscopy center, providing postoperative care to patients in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. She planned, coordinated, and implemented care for surgical patients while working with a general and bariatric surgeon. In 2016, she rose to the level of supervision to 15 clinical staff in a large orthopedic practice before moving to UNC Lenoir Healthcare, where she played a key role in the development of a comprehensive accreditation program through MBSAQIP, which led the center to its first accreditation in February 2021. She ensured compliance with MBSAQIP guidelines, was responsible for developing and maintaining relevant policies and procedures and developed and performed staff education. She exhibits strong clinical judgment while assessing clinical situations to make the appropriate decisions on plans for medical treatments.
