About

Dr. Heifetz joined the Physicians East family in October 2023. He practices family medicine at our Kinston and Beulaville Primary Care locations. He completed his residency in family medicine at UAMS West, located in Fort Smith, AR, and received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. Before his medical training, Dr. Heifetz practiced as an ACSM-certified personal trainer. In his spare time, Dr. Heifetz enjoys exercising and creative writing. His personalized and holistic perspective on medicine comes from his parents. His father was a mathematician, and his mother was a musician and social worker.
