About

Ms. Calcagno joined the Physicians East Urgent Care team on July 10, 2023.

She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from East Carolina University in 2013. She continued her nursing education at Georgetown University, where she received her Master of Science in Nursing in 2019. She received certification as a Nurse Practitioner through the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

Her career began in a medical/surgical and cardiac step-down unit, where she performed as a registered nurse, assisting patients recovering from injuries, surgical procedures, heart attacks, and strokes. Her dedication to patient care continued to be seen as she worked in New Bern at the CCHC Urgent Care facility as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

When not working, Ms. Calcagno enjoys running, gardening, reading, and weightlifting.
